CCV Haiku Contest

While we finish the voting for the verbiage for the June Cartoon (poets take note: rhymes better than moon...) and announce the winner of the May Caption Contest, we thought we would introduce a different contest for the month of July: Haiku!

Try your hand at the Haiku form with subject matter that pertains (in some way) to wine, food and/or some aspect of Charles Creek Vineyard. Entries will be judged for originality, humor and that little something extra...
A couple of examples:

Not rules-suggestions:
Whites with fishes? Reds with meats?
Just drink what you like!

Or

An owl is an owl,
Who has the smile on her beak?
Tecolote, No?

Email your Haiku entry to alan@charlescreek.com with “CCV Haiku” in the subject line. The winner will receive a pair of seriously delicious Charles Creek wines.
If your having trouble remembering the syllable count, here’s a final hint:

CCV Haiku
Just remember: 5-7-5
Now you can try it....
