An Encore Showing for Anthony Montanino
At Charles Creek Vineyard Tasting Room & Gallery

SONOMA, California (October, 2008) –The paintings of Bay Area Artist Anthony Montanino are once again gracing the walls of the Charles Creek Vineyard Tasting Room and Gallery from October 1 through November 30, 2008.

Anthony Montanino is a well-know northern California artist. He is represented by the SF MOMA Artist’s Gallery, the Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento, the Claudia Chapline Gallery in Stinson Beach and the Stone Griffin Gallery in Campbell. Montanino is noted for his urban landscapes and figuratives of j azz and blues musicians. For the current show, the artist has created a series of oil on canvas works depicting vineyard and winery scenes in and around Sonoma and Napa.

His work has graced album covers and event posters and is in the collections of Madonna, the lobbies of the San Francisco Hilton Hotel and Embassy Suites Hotel in Sacramento’s Old Town, Woodland Hospital, the UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Hospitals, Sacramento City Hall’s permanent collection and the Sacramento County Building in Oak Park.

Montanino studied with Jack Ogden at California State University, Sacramento, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

He has had numerous solo exhibits and was the recipient of the California State Fair Award of Excellence in 1989, 92, 96 and 1998. He was also the subject of several profiles in the Sacramento Bee and honored with the 1985-86 Robinson-Witt Memorial Fellowship. In 2002 he won the Sacramento Contemporary Arts Award at the California State Fair.

What better way to view these creative works than to browse the room with a sip or two of delicious, award winning Charles Creek Vineyard wines?

Tasting Room Manager Alan Wastell and his stalwart crew look forward to hosting you.
